Yoga

Open body. Open heart. Open mind. For an awakened life.

Aerial Yoga

The hammock – a tool for balance and a spotting device for the safe practice of more advanced postures – allows students to stretch deeper, align correctly, build core strength, and safely perform inversions without compressing the spine. In addition to a physical workout, Aerial Yoga is a wonderful way to rid the body of physical tension and emotional stress, increase circulation/metabolism, decrease inflammation, and provide an abundance of fresh oxygen to the brain.

Swing Yoga

Swing Yoga classes use a device that we refer to as swing, it hangs from the ceiling and helps support the weight of the body, so that you can learn how to achieve proper postural alignment through relaxation rather than effort, enhancing a relaxed and peaceful state of mind as well. The classes are designed to build strength and flexibility while maintaining its key component: having fun! Through the use of the swing the classes include swinging, inversion, traditional and adapted Yoga poses that uniquely encourage conditioning of the mind, body and spirit.

Vinayasa Yoga

Vinyasa (translates to “flowing with breath”) is a dynamic style of Hatha yoga that joins physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Vinyasa classes are designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending, arm balancing, and a strong focus on the power of breath awareness. Classes tend to be more vigorous and aerobic, and classes can have a variety of music and themes.

Power Yoga

A fitness-based approach to Vinyasa style flow. Students will focus on linking conscious breath with a vigorous and mindful flow. In a power yoga class, students will build strength, flexibility and concentration while cleansing the body and calming the mind. You can expect a great cardiovascular and strength-building workout combined with breath work.

Gentle Yoga

This class is designed for beginners through intermediate students. In Gentle Flow, you’ll be guided through postures in a Vinyasa style, beginning with the basic poses, but allowing for more challenging poses based on your practice level. Props are encouraged to allow the body to fully achieve each pose comfortably. This is a great class for students looking for a more gentle experience, those who are new to yoga or those who need a change of pace, yet still have the option to take it to the next level. Also the perfect class for students with injuries or limitations.

Hatha Yoga

Hatha is a general category that includes most yoga styles. It is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation. Hatha yoga class is relatively gentle, slow and great for beginners or students who prefer a more relaxed style where they hold poses longer.
